
How to apply - Emerging makers
Section 1
Personal Information
In the first section of the form you will be asked to fill in your personal contact information and to select the option which most applies to you:

Set up a craft/design enterprise in the past 6 years

Graduated from a craft/design course in the past 2-6 years
-
Currently in full-time postgraduate studies in a craft design discipline.
The option you chose will affect the sections you then have to fill in.

In order to apply for Future Makers, you will be asked to fill out an application form. Please read the instructions below, which will give you an overview of what's included in the form.
If you have set up a craft/design enterprise in the past 6 years you will be asked for proof of establishment:

If you select that you are graduate 2-6 years out of full-time study, or currently a postgraduate student you will be asked for proof or enrollment or graduation:

Section 2
Registration
To apply for Future Makers you must be registered with the DCCI.
You will be asked to select if you are registered as professional or semi-professional.
If you are not registered you will NOT be able to apply. Please send in your registration request and note in you email you wish to apply for the Future Makers Awards.

Section 3
Support Category and Creative Proposal
In this section you will be asked to choose which of the three supports on offer you wish to apply for:

Studio
-
Travel & Training
-
Exhibition
You will then be asked to upload your images. Make sure these are labeled correctly with you name and image number. Example:

The form will only accept .jpg, .jpeg files and the maximum file size is 3M
In the text box beside each image you need to enter the title of work, materials used, dimensions, year created, photography credit. Example:

You must upload a minimum of three images or the form will not submit.

Section 4
Maker Statement (800 characters - approx 150 words)
Creative Proposal (2100 characters - approx 350 words)
In this part of the form you will be asked to outline your approach to your practice. This is your opportunity to tell the judges about why you do what you do. You are selling yourself and your work here so be confident!
You will then be asked to fill in your Creative Proposal. In this section you outline what you will use the Future Makers support for if your were to win. You will need to give details of your proposed activity, where will it take place, what materials you are buying etc. You should show the impact that the support would have on your practice and how it will progress your creative development.
Saving and Submitting your application
The form allows you the option to 'Save' you application as you go. If you click save at any point you will be sent a link to the email address provided. You can link on this link to return to your form at any point.
Once you click submit you cannot make any further changes to your application.
REMINDER! If you save your application you must return to the link and click submit before the deadline for your application you be accepted.
