1 Award of €5,000Emerging Maker Award in partnership with the Irish Arts Review
Purpose
The Emerging maker award rewards excellence in craftsmanship and innovation for work created by makers who are embarking on a career in a craft-based discipline. This award in partnership with the Irish Arts Review provides practical support and professional encouragement to a craftsperson at a critical point in their career. In addition to substantial funding this award offers the opportunity to participate in a professionally curated exhibition and to be the subject of a critical essay in the Irish Arts Review. Short-listed applicants may be asked to submit up to 3 pieces of work for assessment in this category. Applicants will be notified if work is required directly by CCoI within 3 weeks of submission deadline.

3 Grants of € 1,200Residencies and Training
Purpose
Towards the cost of national or international craft based residency programmes or specialised course or master class in a craft discipline. Residency funding aims to support practitioners in the development of their practice and skills and to gain experience of international trends and best practice.
2 Grants of €600Networking
Purpose
Towards the cost of attending an international seminar or conference relevant to a specific craft discipline. The networking grant aims to provide the opportunity to learn, network and build contacts in an international arena.
2 Grants of €2,000Studio Assistance
Purpose
To assist with costs relating to the set up of a craft based studio/enterprise OR towards costs for further development of existing studios/enterprise including: equipment, workshops, training. Applications for the development of group-based studio/enterprise are encouraged.
2 Grants of €1,000Exhibitions Assistance
Purpose
To extend and promote opportunities for craft based exhibitions and/or participation in craft and design trade fairs nationally and internationally. Applications for solo and group exhibitions/trade fairs are accepted.
1 Grant of €4,000Project – Innovation Grant
Purpose
This grant supports practitioners and craft enterprises seeking to develop a completely new method of working using a process or materials that represent a significant change and innovative direction in their work. Applicants for this grant must demonstrate how their proposal will have the potential to transform their current practice and lead to new working methodologies processes or products for the craft industry. Applicants are encouraged to consider collaboration and/or partnership with a range of sectors including: industrial manufacturing, engineering, architecture, technology and science. Short-listed applicants may be asked to submit up to 3 pieces of work for assessment in this category. Applicants will be notified if work is required directly by CCoI within 3 weeks of submission deadline.
