Guidelines for completing a successful application
How many applications can I make?
You can submit ONE application for a GRANT and ONE application for an AWARD
For example:
- A student may apply for the Student Award and a Student Residency and Training Grant
- A practitioner may apply for the Emerging Maker Award and for the Practitioner Studio Assistance grant
You CANNOT apply for a mixture of student and practitioner grants and awards you must be either a student or practitioner and apply under the relevant heading.
The same application form can be used to make a grant and an award application.
Making your application
- Complete every section of the form
- Make sure you are supplying all of the information requested
- Ask a friend or colleague to read through your application to ensure you are communicating all the relevant information effectively
- Give yourself the best chance possible – Make sure you supply good quality images of your work
- Please ensure all supporting documentation requested accompanies your application
- Please ensure that everything you submit is clearly labelled
- Only images in digital format will be accepted (Images should be in jpeg format and of size 300KB + but not exceeding 1MB)
- CD/DVD: All discs should be readable on a PC/Mac
Budget information requested for grants, please note the following
- Expenditure includes cost of purchase of materials or equipment, travel, seminar, residency or course fees
- Income can include a contribution towards costs from another grant source, your own personal funds or ‘in-kind’ services provided by a supplier – e.g. the cost of designing or printing invitations for exhibition given in kind by a graphic designer/printer
