To reward excellence, creativity, technical ability and to give support to students demonstrating most potential to develop craft based practice beyond their current course of study. The Future Maker Student Awards offer professional support and the opportunity for students to build their profile at a very early stage in their career. Short-listed applicants may be asked to submit up to 3 pieces of work for assessment in this category. Applicants will be notified if work is required directly by CCoI within 3 weeks of submission deadline.

Towards the cost of national or international craft based residency programmes or specialised course in a craft discipline during college or summer term. Residency funding aims to support students in the development of their practice and skills and to gain experience of international trends and best practice.

Towards the cost of attending an international seminar or conference relevant to a specific craft discipline. The networking grant aims to provide the opportunity to learn, network and build contacts in an international arena.
