How to have a good trade show – Artquest and Own-it TV
Tara Brooch by Muireann Walshe Exhibitions and events, Opportunities, Resources

For all those attending Showcase 2012 or any other trade show check out Artquest and Own-it TV’s series of commissioned films focusing on craft. They explore many of the legal issues that makers face when showing, selling or distributing their work, presented through actual craft practice in a range of specialisms.
Each film comprises an interview with an artist about their work, and an aspect of operating as a creative business, such asĀ  – Showing at trade shows, creating a website, working as a sole trader or working with producers and manufacturers -. Each is accompanied by an overview of the legal implications of their activity by a legal specialist from Briffa and what practitioners can do to protect their ideas and designs with links to other resources that can help.
