The Source Arts Centre: Call for Submissions
Exhibitions and events, General

The Source Arts Centre, Thurles is announcing an open call to craftspeople for inclusion in a new exhibition running from December 2010 to the end of January 2011 at The Source Gallery. Submissions are being sought for all craft disciplines, from the major sectors of pottery, glass, jewellery, textiles and furniture to the more obscure crafts, as well as paintings and sculpture. The project is being run to celebrate the wealth of talent that exists in the art and craft sector in this country, particularly in rural areas. This work tends to be ignored by manufacturing and the mainstream arts sectors, so The Source wishes to promote and expose the best in Irish crafts at this special Christmas exhibition. Those interested in having their work considered should contact The Source by 15 October with all relevant information. Full application details are availa! ble on The Source’s website:

www.thesourceartscentre.ie
