The commission is for a strong, site-specific artwork, which should be inspired by its location between the restored Walled Garden, the setting in the Demesne and the new contemporary Leisure and Aquatics Centre building.

The commission will be awarded by a two-stage selection process. At the first stage, applications are invited from professional artists working in all aspects of contemporary visual art practice for this site/location specific artwork. At the second stage, short-listed artists will be invited to submit a detailed concept proposal for the final piece.
